EDIT: Talk about perfect timing! The day I am posting this, Setpember 23rd, would have been Jim Henson's 75th birthday!!! So happy birthday, Jim! We love you!
In the downtime of me not having a properly working tablet... still... I decided to whip up a couple of stamps.
Much like with my Brian Froud stamp, I search dA, and couldn't find a good Jim Henson stamp. Not just Muppets, but the man himself. I love Jim Henson just as much as I love Brian Froud.
I wanted sooo badly to be a Muppeteer when I was younger. The voice work, the puppet work, the designs... I was, and still am utterly entranced by it all.
Here's to you, Jim. You inspired a generation. <3
Image was found as-is on Google. I tried to frame it so we could get as many Muppets visible as possible without swallowing Jim. I managed Kermit, Rowlf, Gonzo and Piggy, but unfortunately, Fozzie got cut out.

I have been watching his series Jim Henson's Hour. He wasn't part of my childhood - I only got the space to watch Muppets when I was a young kid. Got to watch them later when older. But it assuredly must have been an otherworldly feeling to experience his works at the time it was aired. Looking at his personal style, it makes me earn for a time of immeasurable inventiveness that is yet to come.
